HOW MUCH DO WE CHARGE?

An initial consultation is free of charge, providing the property is within 12 miles.
We have a very simple fee structure, which is between £35 and £45 per hour, depending on the length of the project. If we source anything from trade suppliers, we charge a fee of 10%. Considering many stores and other designers charge a mark up of between 50-100%, we more than often pay our fee with the savings passed onto clients. If any items are purchased from trade sources on behalf of clients, we will always supply a copy of the relevant suppliers invoice. Thus keeping the business relationship entirely transparent. With our vast knowledge of the furnishing market, we aim to direct you to the most reliable and competitive suppliers.

WHY DO WE CHARGE AND HOURLY RATE RATHER THAN A PERCENTAGE?

We have always felt that charging a percentage is unethical. If you charge a percentage, the more of the client’s money you spend the more you earn. Therefore, where is the interest in bringing the project in on or under budget? This has always appeared as a conflict of interests. We work independently for our client and are acutely aware of budget.

HOW DO WE ASSESS THE NUMBER OF HOURS REQUIRED?

Simply, by past projects and experience. We will suggest an amount of time and then cap it. If we look likely to exceed, we seek the client’s permission. Therefore, you will not receive any shocking and unexpected bills.
